Amara Block is originally from Brule, Nebraska. In 2019, Block joined the Department of Administrative Services as General Counsel, and in 2021, took on the role of interim Materiel Administrator, which became her official position in May 2022. Block previously worked in the Nebraska Legislature at Counsel for the Business & Labor Committee and for the Education Committee. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to receive her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Criminal Justice and Political Science. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law with concentrations in litigation skills and solo & small firm practice.
