This session will focus on how to maximize your limited time to prepare for an eviction trial. Specifically, this session will address presenting evidence and arguing a case in a contested eviction hearing. Some areas to be covered include pre-trial motions, common objections, motions for directed verdict, prepping for direct examination. In instances where a negotiated settlement cannot be obtained, a tenant’s attorney should be prepared to make a plaintiff present its case-in-chief and present any viable defenses.
