Nebraska adoption law underwent some significant changes that went into effect July 2022. This session will cover changes in the process of addressing the rights of unwed fathers, whether putative, acknowledged or adjudicated; changes in jurisdiction and consent from other courts; communication and contact agreements and counseling requirements; and when birth parents are entitled to counsel.
